TIMES JATIM, JAKARTA – Although new tourist destinations are emerging, Dalegan Beach in Panceng District, Gresik Regency, East Java remains a popular choice for spending their leisure time or holiday.

One visitor, Rahman Ardiansyah, admitted that he spends time with his family at Dalegan Beach every year. This year, he happened to be visiting his hometown in Lamongan Regency, not far from Gresik.

"Every time I go back to Lamongan, I make sure to visit this tourist spot. Besides being beautiful, it's affordable for a family vacation and is closer to home," he said on Thursday (27/4/2023).

Rahman mentioned that this tourist spot offers a beautiful panorama. He and his wife and children took the opportunity to take selfies and played in the water, even riding a Banana Boat.

Apart from enjoying the water attractions, they also savored various local coastal culinary delights. They tried dishes like sembilang fish and grilled fish.

"So we also tried the local cuisine, and it was delicious. There were also freshly grilled fish to go," he explained.

During peak season, some police officers from the local police station (Polsek) and military personnel from the local military command (Koramil) standby. They are on duty every day. There is also the Water Police (Satpolairud) continuously promoting water tourism safety.

"Visitors mostly come from outside the city, such as Surabaya, Sidoarjo, Mojokerto, and Lamongan," said Panceng Police Chief, Iptu Nasuka.

Meanwhile, Mafudi, the Chairman of Dalegan Panceng Tourism Management, mentioned that during the Eid al-Fitr holiday of 1444 H, they recorded an increase in the number of visitors.

"There are thousands of visitors every day, and the busiest time was two days after Eid during the collective leave," he concluded in response to Dalegan Beach tourism in Gresik. (*)
